Today’s tapping exercise was particularly enlightening for with an incredibly deep topic that arose. I started tapping on “it’s hard…” and had an aha moment that I have been trying to please everyone else all my life instead of being myself. It’s hard to try and please so many different people for the sake of acceptance, which actually is tied to “life is hard”. Went to dinner and did the thing with the 3rd nail and thumb. Can’t believe I ordered a burger and side salad (instead of fries) I chose it over the lobster Mac and cheese that I originally wanted before I stuck my nail in my thumb.

I haven’t had any real sugar since yesterday. I took my son to dinner and actually craved the salad I chose. It wasn’t a “chore” or “I should eat this” — it was truly what I desired. I ate half and pushed it away. Usually, I have to say, “you’ve had enough” and fight not to eat it all. No such thing last night! I ate what I wanted, stopped, and had no desire for more. I even checked the fridge a few times—no draw at all!

I got a muffin this morning to test how I was feeling. Took one bite, it was fine but not what I wanted, so I ate half a banana instead. I haven’t been hungry at all! I make myself eat a few bites of healthy choices just to keep my metabolism going, then easily stop and walk away. I’m amazed and beyond grateful. I almost said, “I can’t believe this,” but stopped myself. Just wanted to let you know that since our tapping session, I’ve dropped 5 pounds! Astonishing! Without cravings, without effort. I think I told you, I am retiring. My “milestone” birthday was at the beginning of the month. So, friends and relatives have been giving me gifts, some of them gourmet chocolates. They are still sitting in the refrigerator. Prior to the tapping, I can tell you they would have been gone in a nanosecond. I think I’ve had sweets on two occasions since the tapping, but I ate very small servings and that satisfied me.
