The Presencing Process with Jane Faulkner
Jane Faulkner is a coach who has helped me through some rough times! I love this process, and asked her if she share it with you all, and guide us through it, and she agreed. The process she will share is called Presencing. When emotions arise in us or others, our natural instinct is to shut them down. We often distract, avoid, repress or ignore them because they can be uncomfortable and we are naturally afraid of pain. The energy of these emotions is then trapped in the body and the nervous system often shutting down aspects of our body and its natural intelligence and eventually causing illness.
The Presencing process helps us find our natural center of peace and connection with our inner essence (higher self, Universal energy, Divine, etc) and then bring that to the emotion we are feeling. It is very much like comforting a small child. When you are with that child in a non-judgmental, accepting, and loving way, the child calms down. When you push the child away, they scream or cry louder.
This is a simple but profound process and can be used with our own emotions or when we are with others who are upset, sad, angry, etc.
The process can be quite transformative and is often used with and by people who have suffered trauma. It has an integrating effect on the emotion being presenced and the part of us that is holding that emotion and it allows the underlying energy of that emotion to release organically.
The added benefit of the process is that we are also practicing connecting to our true nature—that spiritual or universal core of our being that is non-dual and the source of our life force energy and creativity. As we connect to this expanded truth of who we are, our frequency naturally increases and we become free of the lower vibrational thoughts, feelings and blocks.
Jane is a transformational coach who supports her clients in connecting to and creating from their True Nature. She works somatically through the mind-body-energy fields, with inner parts to integrate and release the past, and with spiritual and neuroscience principles. She has been coaching and guiding clients since 2006 and her clients include leaders, lawyers, founders, creatives and individuals who want to step into their full creative potential.
